  Journey of a Soul    🌏❤️🌍 our existence comes to record when we are finally free from our our ocean of life, but soon we realize that it was one of the safest places we could ever reside    We breathe our first breath of air with loud cries , that was the only time we could survive under water or with no light  Our body grows over time, letting us fly with our dreams high up in the sky  The same body will trap us within, can’t walk to bed or take a stroll outside  We came in to the world packed inside a womb , we’ll leave the world buried in a six foot soil vault  Why do we worry so much and forget why we arrived 🌻👣🌻

       Vesak Festival falls on Vesak full moon poya day. 🙏🌕🎐It is a religious festival. It is in the month of May. Buddhist people celebrate this festival in a grand manner. In this year we celebrated this festival in our village. That day my mother and aunty observed sil in aunty's home. Because it was corona pandemic season. Me and my sister got up at early in the morning and cooked for our mother's and all. 😊🍱       In this day we observe five precepts. In previous years we go to the temple in the morning with a bouquet of white flowers.🌺🌼🌺 But this year it did not have to go that way. We offered flowers to the Lord Buddha in home. We hoist a buddhist flag in front of our house. 🙏 In previous years there were many dansals everywhere. But this year there is no such thing.       As Sri Lankans, many public holidays are celebrated by us. But among them, we consider one public holiday as one of the most important holiday. That day is independence day. This independence day falls on 4th of February every year. All Sri Lankans celebrate this day as one body.      I have read many kinds of books. 📖📚❤️ But they have written by different authors. Among all of them,my favorite author is Mr. Martin Wikramasinghe. 😍 He was born in 1890 in Galle. He is one of the most talented writer in Sri Lanka. 💗 Every school going child has read his novel "Madolduwa". His style of writing is very simple. Any person can enjoy reading his books. 📚         Mr. Wikramasinghe has written many varieties of novels and short stories. 📚 Among them my favorite novel is "Madolduwa". I have read that book about five times. Further I also read "Gamperaliya" book. His books are very important and so good for everyone.    Our Sportsmeet was held on 30th January. It was a memorable day for everyone one of us. 🤩 There are four houses in our school. They are Hansa, Mayura, Kokila, Lihini. For weeks before the great event, we had sports practice every evening after school. We decorated our houses artistically. ❤️😊      The sportsmeet attracted a vast crowd. There were parents, past pulis and well wishers. We were able to start the meet at the scheduled time. First the Olympic Torch was lit by the captains of the four houses.🔥 There were many events at the sportsmeet. The first few items were relays.🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ High jump, long jump and hurdles race.      During the interval the visitors were served with shots eats and cool drinks.🥪🥤 There were some interesting items after the interval.        The evening is the best time of the day.💗 In the evening we get to get together at home. Our parents return after work. They go out in the morning to earn our daily living, and it is only in the evening that we can see the faces our dear once. They are working hard for our future.My two brothers and I waited impatiently until evening. 🌅🌌       It the evening we sit in the garden either talking or enjoying scenes. Because this is the only time we can have a friendly conversation with our parents. 😍❤️We see people going home to their loved ones. They carry bags with foodstuffs. We wait for our father when he is late. He always brings some sweets for us. Little by little it gets dark, and we move in.       This is the end of a busy day. We can be happy if we had spent the day well. It is a good thing to look back and correct the mistakes we did during the day. 😊🌅😍

    My school is Buddhist Girls college. 🇱🇻❤️🇱🇻 It is a popular girls school in Colombo district. It is located in Mount Lavinia. But I went to that school only till 11th class.🥺My school career started from this school.  💗🇱🇻💗There are about ninety-five teachers in our staff and two thousand five hundred. students in my school. There are many facilities in my school. There is a huge play ground then childrens can play in the interval and free time. 😍❤️ There are library, music room, dancing room, computer room, and main hall also there.            The time I spent in school was so beautiful. ❤️🥺🎀 Worked as a school prefect.        At the end of the last year we went to the Zoo at Dehiwala. I went with my parents and my brothers. The zoo is a large enclosure with trees, ponds, cages and various sorts of buildings. Live animals are kept in those buildings for exhibition. We bought tickets at the entrance and entered the zoo. First we visited the aquarium.🐠🐟 There were a large number of ornamental fish there. They were kept in glasses tanks.      Then we went to another section. There we saw apes and monkeys.🐒They provided us cinsiderable amusement. We saw children gathering in front of these cages. They watched the actions of those interesting animals.   Our next stop was at the birds section.🦚🐦They were kept in cages. There were various kinds of parrots and other birds.       This year we left for katharagama in Friday 16th April. We left home at about 4 am in the morning. We go on this trip every year with our relatives. We stopped to get our breakfast around 9 am. We prepared food from home. A friend of our uncle's joined us on this trip. We reached to the katharagama sacred area around 1 pm. 🙏🌼❤️First we worshipped at the kiriwehera and then went to the katharagama dewalaya.             I like to live in the city. 🏙️There are several reasons for my choice. My ambition is to be a musician.😍🎼 That's why I like to the city life. The city has all the facilities for higher education. There are good schools and well qualified teachers.             There are sufficient quick transport facilities in the city. 🚉🛣️ As such school children need not waste their valuable time to board buses. In the villages they have to wait hours and hours at the bus halts for their buses. There are more medical facilities too in the city than in the village. We can go either to a government hospital or to private hospital. A part form that there are regular clinics in the city.
