Our School Sportsmeet

 

 Our Sportsmeet was held on 30th January. It was a memorable day for everyone one of us. 🤩 There are four houses in our school. They are Hansa, Mayura, Kokila, Lihini. For weeks before the great event, we had sports practice every evening after school. We decorated our houses artistically. ❤️😊

     The sportsmeet attracted a vast crowd. There were parents, past pulis and well wishers. We were able to start the meet at the scheduled time. First the Olympic Torch was lit by the captains of the four houses.🔥 There were many events at the sportsmeet. The first few items were relays.🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ High jump, long jump and hurdles race. 

    During the interval the visitors were served with shots eats and cool drinks.🥪🥤

There were some interesting items after the interval. They were the obstacle race, the bun eating race and fancy dress parade. These items caused much later and amusement. There were two others interesting races too... They were the Teachers' race and the Visitors' race. Our class teacher Miss. Nadeesha Kumari came first in the teachers' race. 

         

       Then the Chief Guest made a speech praising the members of the staff and organising committee on the prefect arrangements. He also stressed the value of sports. The Mayura House which scored 300 points came first. 💙🥳💙 The prizes and certificates were distributed to the Chief Guest. The proceedings of the day come to an end by 7.00 p.m. 😊❤️😊
